Not Sorry Productions (the production company for Harry Potter & the Sacred Text, Hot & Bothered, and Common Ground) is looking for a Business Manager. We are a feminist organization that produces podcasts, educational content, live shows, and immersive experiences with the explicit goal of addressing the spiritual needs of its participants. Through community, rigor, and ritual, we treat traditionally secular things as if they were sacred. In this commitment, we practice empathy, hope, and courage and move closer to treating one another as sacred. We strive to create an intersectional, feminist space, giving a megaphone to voices and stories that will help end systemic patriarchal values.

Working closely with all members of the Not Sorry Productions team, the Business Manager is responsible for developing administrative systems, providing communications support, and managing the processes of all produced work. We are looking for someone to start around July 1st but can be a bit flexible. We are looking for someone who can work remotely, but spend a set-two days/week at our office in Medford, MA. Because we are a very small company, this is a flexible role that covers a variety of kinds work. The role will shift along with the company in conversation with the Business Manager.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the CEO, and working in collaboration with a small team of full-time and part-time staff, the Business Manager will be responsible for:

Project Management:

  • Manage project timelines

    • Eg; if there is a two year goal of having 10 pilgrimages a year, hold us accountable to monthly goals to make that happen

  • Maintain our time tracking system on Harvest

  • Update project budgets with actual expenses

  • Plan and facilitate monthly staff meetings

  • Plan and facilitate weekly “in office” work days

  • Plan and coordinate bi-annual board meetings

  • Work in partnership with payroll, bookkeeper and accountant to maintain clean cash flow and budget documents

  • Work in partnership with lawyer to make sure we are compliant with all contracts and partnerships

Program Support:

  • Answer all logistical questions for pilgrimages

  • Manage pilgrimage event registration and deposits

  • Manage all travel/book flights/air bnbs/car reservations in partnership with CEO

  • Schedule studio time and coordinate guests for podcast recording and live shows

  • General administrative support as needed.


  • Handle the bulk of our podcast email accounts. Answers all logistical questions. Forward  anything that needs responses from one of the hosts or producers. Sends weekly report of themes of the week and a favorite email

  • Manage Patreon

    • Edits short videos for patreon, social media, etc

    • Answers patron questions

    • Schedule and release patron perks

    • Strategize for ways to grow Patreon and stay in communication with Patrons

  • Maintains all NSP related websites

  • Write and send all newsletters for all 3 programs

  • Help research and apply for relevant grants


  • College degree. Masters in Divinity, Media, Organizational Dynamics, Business or some related field is a plus, but is not required

  • Excellent technical skills with high proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Apps, and other equivalent programs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to edit (or learn quickly) short audio and video announcements

  • Website management experience, preferably with Squarespace

  • Systems management experience

  • Experience in religious spaces is not required but is a plus.

  • Good independent worker; enjoys working from home and being a self-starter is a must

  • Above all the candidate must be kind, competent, excited about the mission and vision of our work.

This position is Full Time. Full salary, plus health insurance coverage, small technology stipend, 3 weeks vacation, + personal and sick days.
